Nanotechnology is a fast emerging multidisciplinary field which has scope for enormous development in the scientific frontiers. The pace of new discoveries in nanotechnology, health care and the appearance of whole new fields of endeavor in recent years have made an exciting and challenging task for biologists. Nanotechnology is on its way to make a big impact in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, and Medical diagnostic sciences. Huge numbers of scientific researchers are focusing on nanoscience and nanotechnology to overcome the existing problem in the field of science and technology.

INBA is a non-profit organization with the motto to foster scientific research activities in the fields of Nanoscience, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Medical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Chemical Sciences for the benefit of society.to diseases besides shown to cause fewer side effects than conventional therapies.

INBA is a nationwide organization of eminent scientists, researchers, academic professionals, clinicians, industrial professionals and students working to promote and support sustainable research, development for the growth of Nano-biosciences in India. To serve the information needed for students, academic and scientific research communities, INBA committed to providing recent news, upcoming events, and employment opportunities in our website.

MISSION & GOALS

Making a Difference

To support Life science research using the tools of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

Encourages a stronger commitment to the scientific research activities in the fields of Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Medical Sciences, Pharmaceutical sciences and agricultural sciences.

To stimulate interdisciplinary interactions among the scientists, academicians, Industry professionals and students about their chosen field.

Provides educational and networking programs for the biotech industry and to the general public.

To organize workshops, conferences, seminars, courses etc., in various parts of the country, to educate the users of Nanotechnology in the industry and other areas and to offer a platform for reporting and discussing new developments in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and associated areas.

To accelerate the commercialization of Biosciences, training programs and commercial life sciences projects were to be taken in fields of Nanobioscience, Agriculture (Mushroom cultivation), Aquaculture( Fish farming, spirulina cultivation, etc.,).

Memberships Overview

INBA accepts application for membership from students, researchers, academicians, policy makers and industry who are directly or indirectly involved in the advancement and promotion in the fields of Nano biosciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Agricultural sciences and Biomedical sciences etc. INBA has four types of membership that can be applied for:


STUDENT MEMBERSHIP

Student Membership is for any person who has a under graduate or post graduate level, studying in a nanoscience related discipline or applied life sciences (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Agricultural Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, etc.,) conferred by a recognized University in India or abroad.
Student Membership will provide the knowledge you need, the support you require and the chances to meet people who can advise and assist you in furthering your career for good prospects.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP

Professional Membership is for any person who has a Master’s degree or higher degree in Basic lifescience(Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Agricultural Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, ) or applied Sciences conferred by a recognized University in India or abroad and having a minimum of two years experience in the life sciences profession, be it teaching, research, regulatory, analysis and/or industry.

INBA Awards


Awards Overview

INBA feels proud to announce awards for outstanding contributions under various categories to eminent and distinguished researchers in the field of life sciences and allied sciences through the peer selection process. The awardees will be selected by a scientific committee consisting of experts from different fields/branches of Nano-biosciences and life sciences. The award category and eligibility criteria as follows:
1.    Lifetime Achievement Award
2.    Young Scientist Award
3.    Fellow of INBA award


Lifetime Achievement Award

The purpose of this award is to recognise his/her distinguished contributions and outstanding service in the disciplines of Nano-biosciences/Life Sciences/Allied sciences.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

1.    Any researcher/academician above the age of 45 years.
2.    They must have significant contributions to the welfare of the nation and human development.
3.    Have been engaged in research at postdoctoral level or equivalent for less than or equal to fifteen                    years of full-time research.
4.    Cumulative publication impact factor of 15 or Cumulative publication impact factor of 10 with two                    registered Indian Patents or one International patent.


Young Scientist Award

The award is instituted for the career-oriented scheme to identify and nurture outstanding young scientists with innovative ideas and desirous of pursuing research in frontier areas of Nano-biosciences/Nanotechnology/Life Sciences/Allied Sciences.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

1.    Any scientist/researcher within the age group of 35 years (on or before 31st December of the concerned         year for consideration of the award), every year who has published a research paper of high quality, in           any esteemed Journal.
2.   The research contributions should be based on work carried out in India/Abroad as evidenced by                     publications in high impact scientific journals of repute/products and technologies developed.
3.   The nominee must be an active researcher during the year in which nominated, and have been an                   active researcher for not less than 5 years.


Fellow of INBA Award

Member of INBA would be elected as Fellow of INBA (FINBA) for his long-standing association with INBA and significant contributions in their respective fields.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

1.    The nominee has made outstanding contribution in any field of Nanoscience, Life sciences,                                  Chemical sciences, Nature sciences, Agricultural sciences or Clinical sciences.
2.    The nominee should be a Member of the INBA.
